Jacques Gauthier handles various types of financing, with a specialty in multi-residential and CMHC insured. His clientele includes commercial investors and developers. Mr. Gauthier has more than 35 years of experience in real estate.

Prior to joining CMLS in 2016, M. Gauthier built his career as an underwriter for CMHC before moving on to the mortgage financing private sector. In 1989, he started his own real estate agency. Mr. Gauthier is a registered licensed real estate broker with OACIQ and a registered mortgage broker with AMF.

Nektar heads the commercial advisory and lending division in Eastern Canada for CMLS Financial. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the team and all aspects of commercial originations and operations. He has more than 26 years of experience in commercial real estate in various capacities including real estate brokerage, lending and acquisitions.

Prior to joining CMLS in 2019, Nektar held several senior executive level positions in the finance and real estate industry. He was formerly head of a Global US based real estate capital markets investor in Eastern Canada and then promoted to National Head of equity investments where he was responsible for acquisitions, financing and joint ventures. As well, he was a senior broker for an international brokerage firm both in investment sales, finance and Capital Markets. He was responsible for representing institutional and private clients on asset sales and acquisitions as well as developing financing solutions, targeting both conventional mortgage financing and equity sourcing. Nektar has a planning degree as well as a technical degree in architecture. He is also a registered real estate broker with OACIQ and a registered mortgage broker with AMF.

Serge Leduc focuses on all types of commercial real estate products, including office, retail, industrial, hotels, senior housing and multi-residential. He works with private portfolio owners as well as corporate and institutional clients. Mr. Leduc has 38 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining CMLS in 2011, M. Leduc held a number of key roles, including partner with a leading Quebec real estate appraisal firm, Director of Acquisitions for one of Canada’s largest pension fund managers, and Senior Director of Commercial Financing for a Canadian chartered bank. He was a professional appraiser for 25 years and is a registered mortgage broker with AMF. M. Leduc holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in real estate business from the University of Québec in Montréal.

As member of the commercial origination team, Charles-Benoit is involved in coordinating commercial brokerage and strategic lending initiatives for debt and equity capital raises throughout the Province of Quebec, having so far participated in over $300 million of debt financing strategies from conventional, high-yield and CMHC-insured products.

Prior to joining CMLS in 2020, Charles-Benoit was a member of the Capital Markets team for a prominent international brokerage firm. Specialized in multifamily assets, Charles-Benoit was involved in the underwriting, due diligence and marketing of complex multi-residential dispositions of single assets and portfolios of direct real estate throughout the province of Quebec; participating in the closing of over $900 million in transactional volume. Charles-Benoit holds a Bachelor of Commerce, major in Finance from John Molson School of Business (Concordia University), is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and is a registered Commercial Real Estate Broker with OACIQ.

Charles-André works in the commercial brokerage and lending division in Quebec. Mr. Roy is responsible for conducting real estate debt and equity transactions. His expertise ranges from all asset classes and all financings such as conventional, CMHC insured loans, mezzanine, equity raises and others. Prior to joining CMLS in 2019, Charles-André worked as an associate in the Debt & Structured Finance division at a prominent international capital markets firm in Montreal. He was responsible for conducting real estate debt & equity capital raising, representing institutional and high net worth private clients. Mr. Roy has worked on over $3Bin real estate financing through construction, acquisitions, refinancing, equity, and other related deals. In addition, Charles-André conducted over $500 Million in real estate investment sales transactions.

Charles-André holds a Bachelor of Commerce, major in Finance from John Molson School of Business (Concordia). He is also Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) as well as a registered mortgage broker with AMF.
